  • Incredible technology

The range is the best you can get for $40000. This might change as other companies enter the EV market. The safety features are excellent. I really like the birds' eye view as you can see all obstacles all around your car forward and backward. its a little smallish and not the highest quality interior, but is solid. The interior is larger than you would guess as it has more head room than any other car I have owned. Most of the cost is in the propulsion and safety tech. I easily get 300+ miles in town with 200+ miles at 79 mph. The EPA 238 mile range would appear to be right on for mixed driving conditions. Beware of other range standards (NEDC WLTP) as they are 20% to 30% too high. I think Tesla's ranges meet EPA criteria but at a higher cost. I think the crossover design has more storage than the Tesla sedans. I caution buying one for a new driver as its acceleration may result in too many tickets.

I have never driven a race car, but I think this drives like one. I believe electric cars are the future. No gas, no oil, one gear, etc. As soon a battery technology gets better and better maybe there will be conversion kits to make other cars electric like this one with a great range.
  • Extremely Satisfied With This New EV Bolt

By Jazzbaby on Sunday, April 15, 2018

This new 2017 Bolt EV has exceeded my expectations. On a full charge it usually reads 300 miles or more (max range) 235 to 240 (medium range). It is extremely agile and very, very quick on the take-off - if you want it to be. Very comfortable ride, large tires, cast aluminum wheels, beautiful Orange sparkle paint, roomy inside, large glass display screen, handles very well when driving, parking, backing up (with camera). What I would like to see improved in a vehicle that costs over 35,000 Sticker is: 1) More comfortable seats and 2) Better quality on interior and carpeting - not styling, just quality materials
